Well with the weather Hobart has been blessed with for the last 24 hours the original plans for this occasion had to be changed due to the heavy rain !!! However a large turn out packed the Hobart City Hall for the first Leukaemia Foundation Light the Night. It was announced that Tasmania had raised $68000 $70000 + with still more donations being given during the event.
The red is the modified path taken! Starting in Market Place, it was interesting to see that the line of balloons stretched about 1.5 Km in length so that nearly the whole circuit was alight for the duration. I’m not sure on the total amount of people in attendance, but City Hall was a pretty crowded place! so in all the night was a good one!
I’ve reached 2 1/2 years remission from Extranodal NK/T cell lymphoma, nasal type (Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma) and I too was supported by the Leukaemia foundation during my treatment…
